  • Rob Griffiths RODP

    Rob Griffiths is the Course Director of Trauma & Resuscitation Services Ltd. He qualified in 2001 as an Operating Department Practitioner with a special interest in anaesthetics, trauma and resuscitation. Since then Rob has become a Resuscitation Council UK Advanced Life Support instructor and taught on a variety of trauma life support courses.

    Rob has completed over 1000hrs working on various pre-hospital medical rescue teams around the country. He has spoken at several National conferences on a variety of subjects involving pre-hospital care.

  • Dr John Oates MBChB BN (Hons)

    John is currently working as a Doctor in the NHS and has a vast experience in the pre-hospital care field. Prior to training as a doctor he worked as an Accident & Emergency staff nurse where he was involved in the medical aid team which responded to major road traffic collisions. He also served in the Territorial Army's field hospital as a nursing officer where he also gained experience in battlefield medicine.

    He has since utilised his experience to teach others the skills necessary to treat and care for casualties in the pre-hospital care setting.

  • Dr Pete Barrett MBChB FRCA

    Pete is a consultant anesthetist in the critical care directorate for a major Northwest Hospital, he is a company director and an ALS instructor.

  • Mr Dave McClure RODP

    Dave is one of our senior instructors and has been involved with TRS since it was founded in 2004.

    Dave has a wealth of pre hospital rescue and medical experience, these include, 20 years plus involvement with one of the voluntary aid societies, Working for a number of years on an advanced life pre hospital care team and now acting as Medical Lead/ SAR Technician with his county's volunteer search and rescue team.

    Professionally Dave is a Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner working within critical care at a large general hospital in the northwest, he has special interests in resuscitation, critical care stabilisation and critical care transfer.

    Dave teaches across the full range of courses offered by TRS ltd. In order to provide a client centred approach to his trauma and rescue teaching , Dave has continued to build his own professional portfolio qualifying on courses like the "SAVER" RTC instructor course in order to provide an empathetic understanding of the conditions and environments where his students have to deliver their trauma skills.

  • Mark Pimblett

    Mark Pimblett is a Hi-Tech Clinical Skills Facilitator based in the Simulation Centre which is situated in the grounds of Royal Preston Hospital and part of the Lancashire NHS Hospitals Foundation Trust.

    Mark provides simulation based medical education to Manchester Undergraduate Medical Students, Post Registered Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.

    Mark's professional background is in Operating Department Practice, specialising mainly in Anaesthesia and Emergency Medicine. He has over 25 years of clinical practice.

    He crossed over into medical education in 2005 incorporating his clinical experience and his interest in technologies to establish Human Patient Simulation training within the region. He co-designed the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals state of the art Simulation Centre which runs regional and national courses in a wide range of emergency medicine.
