
The Enteral Feeding Course provides care providers with the skills and knowledge necessary to competently care for a service user with a Enteral Feeding device in situ.
This course is typically incorporated in our ‘Complex Care’ Course but can be delivered as a standalone module.
The course briefly comprises of the following areas:
- An overview of Enteral Feeding
- Indications for use
- Types of Enteral Feeding Devices
- Risks
- Medication administration
- Nursing considerations
- Common problems and solutions
Competency will be assessed by means of an end of course written safety assessment and practical demonstration of skills. On satisfactory completion of this the candidate will be issued with a certificate of competency.
