Trauma & Resuscitation
Services Ltd provide the latest, most advanced evidence-based emergency care
course currently available to non-medical practitioners in the UK. The Immediate
Emergency Care (IEC) course is based on the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA)
proposed national standard and to date it has been successfully delivered to
over 20 of the UK’s Fire & Rescue Services.
Following a risk assessment, the
course is tailored to specifically represent the unique circumstances that
Airport Fire & Rescue Service personnel may find themselves
in. The course is delivered by a faculty of current practising Health Care
Professionals with vast experience of working in the pre-hospital field
supplemented by specialist instructors from a variety of backgrounds.
The IEC course has an emphasis
on practical hands-on training utilising the latest technology in education to move
away from traditional lecture-based training. The course is typically delivered
on clients’ sites thereby minimising the client’s costs.
On successful completion of the
course, a five-day hospital placement can be undertaken where the skills and
knowledge gained on the course can be consolidated on real patients in a
supervised and controlled environment.
The IEC course is rapidly
becoming the ‘Gold Standard’ in Airport Fire Fighter trauma training with many
of UK Airport Fire & Services adopting this level of care provision. We
also offer a robust Clinical Governance package to meet clients’ on-going needs
and continuously support them in the delivery of this service. With the
imminent deregulation of First Aid by the Health and Safety Executive, Clinical
Governance will, more than ever, become an essential component of any
organisation where first aid is provided.
Please see our Clinical
Governance section for further details.
